Why the Coquille Tribe?

The tribe and its businesses value health, education and community. We welcome each employee as part of our tribal family. Our values carry over in the form of work-life balance, a generous benefits package and a caring workplace.

Your family's health is important to us. We offer several options to help keep you well. Your employee contribution for health, dental and vision insurance can be as little as $69 per month (individual) or  $295 (family).

We strive to take care of our employees in unexpected times. Employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for both short-term and long-term disability coverage.

We provide term life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance to employees who work 20 hours or more per week. You can buy additional insurance if you want.

We value work-life balance for our staff. You'll be eligible for 23 days of paid time off in your first year on the job. That goes up after two years and again after five years, topping out at an enviable 31 days a year.

We value work-life balance for our staff. You'll be eligible for approximately two weeks of paid time off in your first year on the job. That goes up after two years and again after five years, topping out at an enviable six weeks a year.

We observe all the usual holidays plus three more. In 2023, our employees will enjoy 14 days of paid holiday time.

Long-term financial planning is important, and our employee savings plan is a great vehicle. Eligible employees can join after just 90 days on the job, and we offer a generous match.

Your family is just as important to us as you are. The tribe's own Head Start and summer Little Feathers program provide excellence in early learning for children of tribal members and employees alike. (Limited to space available.)

We want to support you to stay active and healthy. So we reimburse employees as much as $75 per month ($150 for family memberships) for health clubs and fitness activities.

Why Coos Bay?

Often called the "gateway to Oregon's Adventure Coast," the Coos Bay area offers historic charm, natural beauty and outdoor adventure. The largest town on the Oregon Coast has access to beaches, endless hiking, world-class golf, hunting, fishing and more.

Why Eugene?

Eugene is at the south end of Oregon's Willamette Valley where two large rivers and many smaller ones converge. It's a place of converging ideas, too. A university town, Eugene is full of artists, innovators and visionaries.

What staff are saying

"CIT doesn’t only allow for employee growth but offers resources and support to achieve the goals employees set for themselves. Our leaders are encouraging and knowledgeable. Everyone seems to have “the bigger picture” mentality, where we recognize how our organization affects the surrounding community. Tribal and employee families are provided with exceptional benefits, including childcare programs. Here, I am an asset! Right alongside the rest of my amazing team."
Rosy
Budget & Grant Support Specialist
"I have never worked for a company that truly is invested in the growth of their employees. My supervisor has sent me to get certified as Phlebotomist. I’m so grateful for this experience. I have been treated with nothing but kindness and understanding when it has come to my family. Very thankful for this opportunity to grow with the tribe family."
Nikki
Medical Assistant
"I continue to work for the Tribe because I feel valued and respected. Some days I work solo or other days I work with a variety of people. I am always learning something new here at the Tribe."
